Hays County Emergency Information

Hays County Local Health Department reports no new COVID-19 cases overnight, which means the current lab-confirmed total remains at 221. One additional case is now considered recovered, bringing that total to 145.

Epidemiologist Eric Schneider said 73 cases are currently active. The number of negative tests is at 2,161. He is awaiting results on 109 tests. He added that those who received testing by the Texas National Guard at the Wimberley and Dripping Springs sites last weekend will be contacted with their results as soon as they are available. The state health department indicated it may take up to seven days for results.

Total hospitalizations to date for Hays County is 24, with four persons currently hospitalized.
